Eiga Sai 2010: Contemporary Japanese Film Festival tickets in Shangrila Mall for Free!

Whew! It took me 4 days before I knew that there is a free film showing in celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month this July. Eiga Sai 2010 in cooperation with the Japan Embassy which means "film" festival" in Japan is bringing 8 contemporary films and 2 animated films in an effort to showcase Japanese art and culture.

Shangrila Plaza Cineplex 6th Floor is the place where anyone can get a free ticket. Just a very friendly reminder: please, please be there like an hour before the movie starts as the line of people waiting is longer and they come earlier than what you think of. You may enjoy their limited seats from July 6 - 11 but don't worry there are a few places that will follow where you can watch it. Next stop would be: Gaisano South City Mall, Davao (July 23 - 25); Ayala Center Cinema 4, Cebu (Aug. 3 - 8) and in UP Film Institute, UP Diliman (Aug. 18 - 21).

For the complete list schedule, here is the official website of Japan Foundation Manila http://www.jfmo.org.ph/. This site is the best spot where you can any stuff about Japan: Arts & Culture, Japanese Language & Studies, grants anything you may need to know.

Glad to be Part of the 15th Inauguration Ceremony of Pres. Noynoy Aquino

Almost half a million Filipinos gathered to watch the Inauguration of the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines last June 30th in Quirino Grandstand, Luneta while me, was lying like a knocked out boxer from a fight. I just finished a 9-6 night shift so I’m off to sleep. But from the walls of the sleeping quarters I hear the noise of my fellow officemates. “It’s the Inauguration day of P-noy!”

I'm giving him a 100% grade for his speech in Tagalog. Pinoy na Pinoy! As expected in every president inaugural speech, there are always parinig or innuendo in Spanish about the outgoing president. If I were Pres. GMA and I was listening to it personally, I would have melted right away or walked out. Hmm, speaking of her, why is it her name was not acknowledged on the speech when the other past presidents were? Very light and detailed... that's how he tacked the issues he is most concerned of. Corruption is still at number one spot. Sigh, when would be our country be free from it?

Bawal na ang Wang-wang! This is the only issue that never crossed in my mind a President would be so much concerned of. Kayo ang Boss ko! I Like this line! Really, really glad to be part of Inauguration of the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines at least in front of the TV. Please do not frustrate us in the 6 years to come P-noy!
