Do you know how it feels like being surrounded by beautiful, talented statuesque young ladies? Awesome, super awesome!Their charm and smile are so contagious that I feel I am as pretty as them. Oh well, *dreaming* back to the topic!Yesterday, I headed to The Zen Institute in Quezon City to cover the press conference of the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014. Thirty lovely candidates or should I say very lovely candidates are vying for this year's title. Every year, our country sends the winners of the Mutya ng Pilipinas to international beauty pagents such as Miss Tourism International, Miss Tourism Queen of the Year, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Asia Pacific International.
The space on the first floor is quite small where the event was held inside so we literally brush shoulders with teh candidates. I cannot help but look at them one by one while prepare themselves for the photo session and the Q & A with Dra. Mary Jane "MJ" Herrera of The Zen Institute. She said their clinic helps to enhance the outside appearance of the person NOT changing it drastically... that should a beauty be all about.
The Zen Institute has been supporting Mutya ng Pilipinas for four years now because they are both advocates in beauty tourism. TZI is the country's first medical spa that uses non-invasive surgery while the Mutya ng Pilipinas continuous to showcase the best of our Filipinas who exude beauty and talent in all endeavors.
What sets this competition apart from other similar events is that Mutya ng Pilipinas assist in promoting tourism, social responsibility, fashion and beauty pageantries ... this is truly a unique combination that the people behind are proud to be part of.
