City Garden Suites Offers FREE Buffet Breakfast To Its In-house Guests

I cannot believe I have been doing a lot more food reviews around the metro for the past few weeks. The most recent one is a little different because instead of a restaurant, it is a hotel this time - the City Gardens Suites in Malate.  As someone who is passionate about the country's travel, tourism and hospitality industry , I like reviewing hotels that in the future I can recommend to friends, family and clients.

City Gardens Suites is a 3 - star accommodation located at Mabini Street in Malate with another branch in Makati. It was established in the late 1990's with 142 rooms of 6 different kinds that one can choose depending on the budget.

I actually love the spacious and warm vibe when I first went inside the main entrance. I have stayed to a few hotels as well with free breakfast but it is usually plated. According to Sir Rico, the Sales Development Office of this hotel, they really want to give an extra mile to the first meal that their guests eat at the start of the day. The overhead cost of this does not effect the entire sale of the hotel.

City Garden Suites' free breakfast buffet is open from 6AM - 10AM daily served in the Cafe Miranda. They offer a variety of breakfast to suit the different types of guests they have. To those who want it light, they can opt for a bread (loaf or wheat), have it toasted and choose if they want a cup of tea or coffee.   They also have an omelette station where the guests can see how their eggs are done in front of them.

To those who want a heavy one,  there's a steamed rice and you can choose among these usual breakfast dishes or get a small serving of each:  chicken longganisa, fish fillet, pancit and adobo. These choices vary from time to time except adobo which is one of our signature dishes. For foreign and/or healthy-conscious guests, they have corn flakes, fresh milk and two kinds of sliced fruits.

With Sir Rico Orillo Jr., the hotels' Sales Development Officer.  After our breakfast, he showed us three of the six kinds of their rooms: Superior Deluxe Room, One-bedroom Suite and Superior Room.

Superior Deluxe Room
Rate: P2800 for one pax
P3100 each for 2 pax

One-bedroom Suite
Rate: P3300 for one pax
P3500 each for 2 pax

Superior Room
Rate: P2400 for one pax
P2700 each for 2 pax

Aside from Cafe Miranda, we also got to check out a few facilities of the hotel. Please see below:

The Black Hole Music Lounge
The Black Hole Music lounge is where parties are held but this one needs some make over for the guests to stay at night to have fun instead of going out to the nearest bar in the area.

Mini - gymn
For health buffs, this is for you. Though the space is limited, there's a lot of workout devices you can use.

Conference Room
For business meetings, seminars  and the likes this one is the answer.

Lobby Bar
The Lobby Bar  is a small space perfect to those who want to unwind after a long day with refreshing drinks from the Lobby Bar. It has a wide selection of wine and champagne, plus mixed drinks and cocktails.

Next time you  need a hotel in Malate to stay I suggest staying at  City Garden Suites :)
