2 WFH Sisters and 1 Dog Sharing Our Travels in Bicol and Manila

Mr Jones Soon to be Junior Jones Will Serve American Culinary Soon

Mr Jones is the fourth out of six restaurants we visited during our 2 - day Makati Food Tour. This is the only one that belongs to the Raintree group of restaurants that serves American dishes in 60's style.  Actually the branch in Greenbelt 3 where we did this food review is relocating soon to BGC area so I decided not to feature the interiors of the place since it is no longer necessary.

Once relocated at BGC, the Mr. Jones will be rebranded to Junior Jones.  There's a revamp of the menu but I would say that what we ate will be pretty much if not the same as the one in Mr. Jones.

We went there around 9am for our breakfast. Let me share you what we ate:

Jones' Huevos Rancheros
Jones' Huevos Rancheros - Slow cooked sitloin chunks, with cumin scented black beans, topped with roasted tomato, bell pepper & salsa fresca, american cheddar & jack cheese, 2 sunny side up eggs, fresh tortillas, fresh lime and a bottle of hot sauce

Whew! Love the spicy sauce that I actually wanted to pair this with a bowl of steamed rice. Ah ok I got it, we are eating an American culinary.

Challah French Toast
Challah French Toast - 2 pieces French toast stuffed with Nutella & Raspberry preserves & caramelized bananas topped with crispy bacon, powdered sugar & whipped cream served with maple syrup and whipped butter

This one is my top pick. I love french toasts and fried bananas.  The maple syrup, whipped butter and whipped cream all made the taste divine!

Jones' Famous US Ribcap Tapa
Jones' Famous US Ribcap Tapa Served with 2 eggs any style, garlic rice, atchara and spicy vinegar

Whew! Finally I think my wish was answered when this was served all because of the fried rice that came with it.  I love the tapa because it is tender and juicy.

Bacon and Eggs

Nothing's especial about this except that the bacon is served in a bigger serving. Still I also love this one.

"Big Boy" Fried chicken & waffles
"Big Boy" Fried chicken & waffles - whipped butter, maple syrup, chicken stock gravy

Hmm, waffle and fried chicken? I do not understand the combination. Maybe this is how North Americans eat these.  I would rather eat waffle alone or fried chicken alone. But then again the tastes of them each is superb. They waffle tasted just exactly I want, it's not too sweet and the fried chicken is not too oily and not overcooked.

You may check Mr. Jones official Facebook Fan Page here. While it is open you can visit it at Greenbelt 5, Makati City.
