I am glad that the chance of me covering the Misters of the Philippines 2014 in their Festival Costume competition did not end there as I receive another message that I will do the same in the Coronation Night. This is the evening that everyone is waiting for the biggest male pageant in the Philippines today. The competition will select 3 winners that will represent the country to the following international pageants: Mister Tourism, Mister Global and Mister International. A runner up will also be chosen in case anyone among the three fails to take his responsibilities.
Take note our representatives last year did a pretty good job abroad because our Mister Tourism 2013 placed 9th, Mister Global 2013 is 4th runner up and Mister International is also 4th runner up and bagged the People's Choice Award. This should serve as a challenge to the 2014 title holders to give the best they can.
The 26 contestants paraded in three different outfits starting from a warrior's attire, to the swimwear and the formal wear. The Misters of the Philippines 2014 aims to find the winner based in the following criteria: physical fitness, final look, personality and international appeal. Of course the Q&A portion will cap off to the search for the men of handsomeness and attitude that they are looking for.
From 26, they were shortlisted to 15 then 9 until the final 4 is chosen. Now let's move to the awards:
Best in Festival Costume – Edviro Fuentes Jr of Samar
Mister Photogenic – Neil Perez of Tondo
Mister Friendship – Elvin Tiel of Aklan
