Just came from an 8 – day trip to Coron, Palawan where I have seen the most majestic and Instagrammable beaches in the Philippines for me. This is the 4th instance I have been to this province: once in El Nido and twice in Puerto Princesa. I can live forever in Palawan if only I own my time! I vowed not to join any blogging events since I have tons of online work to catch up but there’s one I couldn’t say no: AirAsia’s #HowIFly campaign. Coincidentally, many months ago I joined their #WhyIFly launching, an initiative set in driving more people to pursue their travel goals and spread the love of storytelling through beautiful photographs and films. With #HowIFly, it is all about responsible ways of traveling.
The #HowIFly Campaign
Held in Belmont Hotel Makati, the event commenced with a talk of Philippine AirAsia’s CEO Dexter Comendador. He said “#HowIFly calls for the value of generating the positive impact on communities, wildlife, and the environment. Over 1.5 billion travelers are expected to travel each year by 2020, and we have the power to change our world to simply becoming aware and responsible of our actions.’’

There were 3 short stories presented that captured my heart: the recent forest fire that hit Mount Apo; the marine protection and conservation in Cebu and community – based sustainable tourism initiatives in Palawan. I am with AirAsia every step of the way regarding these great ideas of promoting travel in different perspectives. The Philippines is undeniably rich in terms of marine life. There are so many locals who make a living out of tourism and the country’s natural resources. If these are destroyed, they have nothing to feed their family.
How You Can Be Part Of Air Asia’s #HowIFly Campaign and Win a Trip Each of us can make a big difference by simply being a responsible traveler. If we can inspire one person at a time, we are not only saving Mother Nature but we are giving the future generation the opportunity to be able to experience the same kind of admiration of how we are blown away by the different tourist spots in our country that you can’t find elsewhere.
Air Asia is challenging each of us to post a 15 – 30 second video on Instagram about how to fly responsibly. Tag three of your friends to do the same. Three winners will be randomly chosen to receive a pair of roundtrip of either local or international flights. For complete mechanics, terms and conditions please check AirAsia Philippines’ Facebook Page here.

I tried AirAsia one when i went to Vietnam, so far so good but the space is so small. I cannot move around but i love how cheap there flights are. ^^
