You probably haven't heard of Manuel Uy beach resort. That's why I want to share it to all who are looking for a less-known beach, very affordable, just a few hours away from Manila and still gives you that summer vibe we are all dying to feel. I have previously featured a beachfront resort in Calatagan, the Aquaria Beach Resort. You can click here for complete details. There are nice beaches in Batangas - Manuel Uy beach resort is one of those. Let Kayceelyn Villanueva's trip experience whom I met online, prove it.
Please check below the Manuel Uy beach resort blog review according to her words and photos:

How to Get There via Commute
Option 1
Bus from Buendia going to Nasugbu/Lian (Php 160)
Get off at Lian
At Lian Market, ride a jeep going to Calatagan (Php 40)
Tricycle going to Sta Ana Beach (Php 150-200)
Option 2
Take a van going to Calatagan. The terminal is near MRT EDSA Taft Station, side of Kabayan Hotel. (Php 180)
At Calatagan market, take a tricycle to Sta Ana Beach (Php 150-200)
Option 3
From Pasay Taft at the back of Kabayan Hotel there's a van terminal bound to Calatagan for Php 180. This is a pretty crowded place so expect you have to bring lots of patience with you. Travel time is 3-4 hours. Drop off at Calatagan Public Market. That's where the terminal of the bus is going to have a final stop.
Take a tricycle. Php 200 is good for 3-4 pax. If you're alone then you have to pay that whole amount. Travel time is 20-30 minutes.
Environmental Fee is Php 30 (valid for 10 days)
Entrance Fee for Day tour is Php 50
Overnight Entrance Fee is Php 100
Electricity rent of bulb is Php 100 then extension wire is Php 200
Electricity rent of bulb is Php 100 then extension wire is Php 200
Accommodation:
There are available tents for rent in the place worth Php 500; or
Bring your own tent with 50 pesos fee
Reminder from her: No problem with comfort/shower room. It is only Php 15 for every shower time and Php 10 for using the toilet. Bathroom is clean.
Expenses:
Fare: Php 700-800
Accommodation: Php 500/2pax = 250
Entrance Fee: Php 120
Boating: Php 150
Total: Php 1320
Tips:
Bring tent so you can save 500 pesos
Bring your own food (pack food is preferable)
Bring goggles kung gusto mo mag snorkling
Leave Metro Manila by 4 or 5 am because travel duration may take 4-5 hours. You need a lot of patience, powerbank full charged and chicheryas along the road for that.
There's a sand bar that is very ideal to be seen in the afternoon. Unfortunately, we got there during high tide so it is not visible.
Feel free to let these persons below if you want to see the sand bar. Of course you will!
If you're doing a day tour only, it is recommended to bring your own mat. Renting one is Php 100!
If you're doing a day tour, please leave by 3 pm because the last trip of van is at 4 pm.

I will do some research on the resort :) Salamat. Have a great day.
