My first few nights here in the Thai capital were spent in two luxurious hotels with fellow travel blogger friends. In this post, I will share my review of Adelphi Forty-Nine hotel, a mid-range type of accommodation slash a service apartment in Thonglor that offers luxury and a homey atmosphere. With a rooftop swimming pool, restaurant by day and bar by night, Adelphi 49 Hotel in Bangkok could be a home away from home for travelers who can splurge more. Let's start from its location - Sukhumvit area. If you really want to stay near the BTS, airports and bus stations in Bangkok, choose Sukhumvit area. Everything is just a tuktuk or a BTS away. Adelphi Forty-Nine's biggest advantage is that it is very near to trendy shopping malls and a hodgpodge of restaurants to choose from!
The vibe
Upon check in, we were given a cup of fresh brewed ice tea plus a clean towel. It only took us a few minutes and before we knew it, we're now guided in the elevator to get to our own room. The receptionists are very nice and really help us every step of the way until we are fully settled.

The room
First word that came to my mind - extravagant! Our room looks like a posh condo or an apartment already. It came with a dining set, a sala, two human-sized cabinets, office table and a veranda. We had a nice view of nearby houses with a roof made of bricks and some low-rise building. The best thing for me is it came with a laundry machine all ours to use!
The bathroom is stellar: toilet is automatic with some buttons that I had first seen in my whole life! I mean, I have been to quite a few five - star hotels but this is the first of having used this kind of toilet. The bathtub is so inviting - if I don't have some online tasks to finish and dirty clothes to wash, I can spend for hours here just relaxing and singing all by myself.
The bed is so soft, pillows smells nice and aircon works so great. They are located roadside, but you won't hear any noise. The design is minimal, I love it. Actually, the sala outside is big enough to catch some sleep.
With a view like this to the left and a cabinet that's equipped with a full-body robe, hotel slipper, a security vault to store your belongings - I can stay here all day and all night working in front of my laptop. Yes, the wifi is very efficient!
Sadly, we only have one night here so we never got the chance to either swim at the rooftop pool or use the gymn. To those guests staying at Adelphi Forty-nine Hotel, please make sure you drop use these amenities because you're free to use. And oh, you get to see a slice of Bangkok's city snapshot here too.
All the equipment in the gymn are new and functioning. No trace of any dust rust. Looks like Adelphi 49 really takes care of its amenities on a daily basis which is something that I really look forward whenever I choose a hotel to spend a night with.
For ever night you paid in Adelphi Forty-Nine, you get free buffet breakfast in the morning and a choice between a mocktail or cocktail every night. Other freebies include:
