Do you know that I frequent travel fairs because this is where I get cheapest prices when it comes to tours, hotels and flights? Speaking of, there's one in Glorietta Activity Center in Makati going on. It is called NLEX "Tara na sa Norte" showcasing the best of tourism in North Luzon. Yesterday, I joined the official launching which was sperheaded by Senator Cynthia Villar, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agricultre and Food. This year's focus is promoting agri-tourism destinations in North and also Central Luzon. I personally support this kind of advocacy because agricultural tourism is always taken for granted. Sure, we have world-class beaches but hey, we have more to offer!
Also present is NLEX Corporation President and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco who said "With vast farmlands, the North Philippines is rich in agri-tourism sites that offer recreational and educational adventures for both local and foreign tourists."
Over 90 exhibitors that are composed of hotels, resorts, travel agencies tour organizers and traders are participating "Tara na sa Norte" to make sure that guests who are dropping by have lots of choices to plan their trip to the North soon. There are also local delicacies and unique souvenirs to buy as well. I super love those tassel earrings and dream catcher craft!
This is already the 9th year of continuous promotion of the North's tourism potentials lead by NLEX. This event is also co-presented by the Department of Tourism - Cordilleras, Ilocos and Pangasinan, Cagayan Valley Region and Central Luzon - Ayala Center, Glorietta and Ayala Malls. Supporting this event are Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Poro Point Management Corporation, TIEZA, Maynilad, Victory Liner and media partner Business Mirror. I have been to Luzon's north for so many times, I would say the best tourism destinations in the Philippines can be found there.
