2 WFH Sisters and 1 Dog Sharing Our Travels in Bicol and Manila

Where to stay in Subic, Olongapo: Camayan Beach Resort

Where to stay in Subic near Ocean Adventure

Looking for a beachfront resort in Subic? Check out Camayan Beach Resort, one of the most popular beach resorts in Olongapo. I had a chance to stay here for an overnight staycation to cover a newly-opened waterpark which I can't divulge for now. I had nothing but praises from the comfort of our hotel room to the good customer service we felt from the staff.

Camayan Beach Resort is your ideal vacation away from Manila's chaotic crowd but definitely close enough to go back and forth! When you check in at Camayan Beach Resort, nothing priceless can be compared to waking up in the morning and have a breakfast by the beach. Swimming in the tranquil waters of Subic beach is just a few cartwheels away when you're inside Camayan Beach Resort.  Built below a protected mountain, don't ever be surprised of wild monkeys walking freely. So be sure to close your doors often. I wish though you don't get turned off to these gentle animals because having them means you're in a place where nature is still healthy.

CAMAYAN BEACH RESORT DAY TOUR

Going to Ocean Adventure Park in Subic? Stay in Camayan Beach Resort too
My first visit to Olongapo many years ago included a whole day in Ocean Adventure Park in Subic - another theme park in Subic that is known for its dolphin shows and more.  If you plan to stay overnight and visit Ocean Adventure Park, there's no better hotel in Subic to stay at than Camayan Beach RESORT. Why? Because they are sister companies to each other! Just keep on checking because each of these offers a discount should you choose their services. There's even a free shuttle that will bring you from the hotel to the adventure park!

The room
Apologies, but I was only able to take one photo of our room. The one at the right side on my main photo shows a double bed where I shared a bed with fellow blogger Viczi. The room we had is wide, clean and has amenities for a comfortable stay. It has a running aircon, a wide flat-screen TV, a sink plus a mirror. They have 85 rooms to choose from.

The view
Camayan Beach Resort is a hotel in Subic where you're sandwiched between the beach and a mountain! It's a beachfront hotel that occupies the longest beach compared to other resorts in Olongapo.

Location is superb
Clark International Airport is just an hour or so away from Camayan Beach Resort. They also offer free shuttle to bring you to Olongapo center! Just be aware of the schedule of departure of these shuttles because it is first come, first serve basis. Though I wish, they could make it airconditioned because it is hot inside and the spot where the shuttle is located is exposed to the sun.

Please check out this short vlog I did. Don't forget to change the setting to 720 HD for a much clearer video resolution.

Tips, recommendations, and suggestions
  • It comes with a resident restaurant called The Reef where you'll eat your breakfast and/or lunch if included in your room package
  • If you want cocktails, go check out The SandBar, it's just beside each other
  • I suggest bringing your snorkeling gear and your swimwear too. They have a swimming pool but hey there's a beach out there!
  • They also offer scuba and hiking. Please ask them how to join one of their activities for these.
  • There's a volleyball area along the shore. If you love this sports, you're in the right place.
  • You can also rent boats for kayak, do horseback riding and standup paddle. We never tried this because we were focused to the newly-opened water park we are tasked to cover. I am super looking forward to doing it the next time I come back.
  • Never leave Camayan Beach Resort without catching the sunrise or sunset! It's a marvelous feeling.
  • You can feed big, squiggling fishes at the far right side of Camayan Beach Resort. There's a restaurant there called Turtle's Nest Cafe & Bar but I couldn't remember the name. You can order pastries, snacks, and drinks there. It offers a fantastic view of the ocean, the mountains and the nearby islands as well.
  • For Instagram addicts, there are rocks protruding at the far left part of the shore. It's gonna be a perfect spot for an Instagrammable picture but beware because these rocks are slippery. Urchins are believed to appear there so be careful!
  • The FREE WIFI is stable! The one in the room is different from the one in the restaurant as well. You have no problem sharing your beautiful photos and getting connected when you stay here. Thanks, Camayan Beach Resort for taking care of us who work online. I was able to squeeze in some work.
  • They strongly prohibit smoking cigarettes within the premises and inside the hotel room
  • I like that the waves on the shores of Camayan Beach resort are not strong. I think kids can enjoy the beach with the supervision of parents of course.
  • .Dinner is served with candles lit on the tables that are spread out near the shore during the night.
  • They also offer massage for those who love to mix wellness in their staycation.
  • Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 12 noon.

WHERE TO STAY IN SUBIC CAMAYA BEACH RESORT OLONGAPO

Camayan Beach Resort is surely not for backpackers or those who have tight budgets. If you're looking for a beachfront resort in Zambales that's a little higher to the usual cheap hotel, I suggest here. This is the best resort in Subic to bring your partner for a romantic getaway, have your team building with workmates or bring the whole family.

Please stay tuned to my blog post about this water park that will complete your getaway in Subic together with these two :)
