As a traveler, I love to watch vlogs showcasing gorgeous visuals and highest quality documentaries of tourist spots around the world. I wish the same for our local TV stations to promote our country's tourism. That's why I was so excited when I learned that GMA News TV, the country's leading TV network will be airing another top-notch travel show called Me & My Town. During the launch party for media and bloggers, I had a chance to get to know this show, Kathy San Gabriel the host and mingled with fellow blogger friends whom I haven't seen for a while.

Introduction
Me and My Town is the newest Magazine and Travel show to hit Philippine TV which aims to promote the unique charm of cities and towns in the country by featuring its tourist attractions, food, culture and the arts. This highlights the beauty of the Philippines with a different twist. Aside from the experiences and perspective of our host, we’ll be featuring a prominent personality who is a native of the place to tour us around and take us on a different adventure and discovery. No one knows a place better than someone who grew up there, right? So, expect every episode to be packed with insider travel tips and valuable information to entice every traveler to come and visit.
The target viewers of Me and My Town are mostly millennials traveling on a budget. However, I am sure that this travel show will feature mostly destinations that are suitable for all ages. It could be a kid who is eager to try the newest built theme park, a balikbayan who wants to taste his childhood favorite local food in his hometown or a couple looking for an affordable staycation over the weekend.

The viewers will witness the remarkable fusion of history and modernization of Imus through its historical sites, culture and food. Imus is also known for its thriving businesses that create jobs for many Imuseño, so watch out as well while they visit factories that depict the growing city.
Congressman Alex “AA” Advincula will be the first local slash guest of Me and My Town showing Kathy, the team and of course the viewers all the nice things about Imus. From the historic site of “Battle of Imus” to the newly constructed hospital and schools – he will show us how his vision of the city has come to life through his projects and infrastructure programs. Witness a different kind of Imus beyond its modern places and busy streets.
What I personally like about this travel show is that it features lesser-known destinations in the Philippines. When we think of vacation, by default we say Palawan or Boracay. This show will prove to us that every town in the country is a destination itself and it also has a story to. Hosted by veteran broadcast journalist, Kathy San Gabriel, Me and My Town is produced by The Concept Workshop which airs every Sunday, 9:30 am on GMA News TV channel 11. The first episode will feature the historic city of Imus, Cavite.
