Looking for an American fine dining type restaurant in BGC? Check out The Bowery Ph. It's an Instagrammable restaurant that will bring you in an instant to Northern American at least in taste and in ambiance. With walls made of mostly white colored bricks, The Bowery Ph could certainly deceive anyone that they are actually somewhere in New York! We have only been here twice but it captured our hearts already.
The Bowery NYC Comfort food is a restaurant cum bar. The first floor is usually used to serve guests having their breakfast and lunch up to late afternoon. When evening comes, the music and vibe in the second floor attract all customers to go up. I think the first floor is still open to those who would just like to have dinner but for those who want to feel a bit of a nightlife, the second floor of The Bowery Taguig is the way to go.
My American boyfriend was so giddy in a nice way when we found this restaurant just a stone's throw away from The Mind Museum. He missed authentic tasting American cuisine so much. This is the reason why we found this restaurant in the first place.

What we ordered
Buttermilk Waffle made of whipped butter, pure maple syrup and fresh fruits (Php 340)
Buttermilk Waffle made of whipped butter, pure maple syrup and fresh fruits (Php 340)
I have eaten so many waffles in a lot of good restaurants here in Manila. However, The Bowery Ph stood out to me because for the first time I have seen a plate of warm waffles served with real chunk of fruits! Not just one but three types - green apple, grapes and oranges. What I like about the waffles is that it is not overwhelming in our stomach. It is not too sweet and the whipped butter is so delicious. I forgive them for not serving a lot of it, I can lick scoops of butter without batting my eyelashes!
Also, I didn't know the difference of a "fake" maple syrup and the pure maple syrup. Thankfully, my American boyfriend was there. He knew the real taste. He vouched that what The Bowery NYC restaurant in BGC is saying the truth. The cheap kinds of maple syrups are too sweet, the real one is not so.
We love it that we have eaten this twice in two occasions we ate in this restaurant.
Deconstructed Cinnamon Toast Bread Pudding with Creme anglaise, macerated berries and whipped cream (Php 350)
We lost our mind when it was served to us. It is such an eye candy that we didn't want to eat it at all! The small crumbs of breads are crunchy. The berries are relatively big and enough to fill our stomach. The whipped cream made this ultra delicious. I am not sure if this is fresh milk but yes, it was the perfect match while we munch these berries plus the breads.
Unfortunately, this one was not available on our second visit. We would love to eat this in . The Bowery NYC BGC every time we go there. We even ask for the contact number of the restaurant so that before we go there, we'll ask them first if they have this. This is the bomb for us!
We were a bit disappointed that the one above was not available during our visit so we chose another one on the menu which is the Eggs Benedict. I am probably the most reliable critic for eggs benedict because I don't eat it often but I find it just fine. However, the boyfriend said compared to Western standards, the eggs benedict we had didn't made it. He said the muffin is not the muffin he knows back home. The eggs are hard - should be soft like the yellow part is half cooked. However, we like the ham because it is not too salty. We're not fan of potato fries in the morning but this one served to us is soft enough that we ate all of it. We are open to getting mixed greens when we order eggs benedict here again.
The Bowery NYC Comfort Food menu
As you see we can only share 3 food we ate at this restaurant. I have shared a copy of The Bowery NYC Comfort Food BGC menu for you to take a look of what to order more. I wish though they can do one that is magazine style - glossy and with photos. It is easier to choose what to eat if there's a photo of it.
Wifi is not stable here but hey, you came here to eat right? There's no parking area near the restaurant itself. The prices are fair enough in Western standards. The comfort room is clean. Seeing fresh flowers as decorations really make me happy. They really make more efforts for that real nature feel.
