Looking for Sorsogon's best beaches? Check this out. Right before summer officially started, my sister and her friends went to a day tour beach trip to Lebanon Beach in Barangay Lupi, Prieto Diaz here in Sorsogon. The weather was quite gloomy but she said the trip was super worth it despite the hours they took to get there and back home.
Lebanon Beach Prieto Diaz for sometime is on top of our bucket list because we've heard many times. We really want to go to beaches in Sorsogon with rock formations like Lebanon Beach. This trip of my sister actually reminded me of another beachfront resort we went to Santa Magdalena where there are gorgeous rock formations too, FMB Resort. Lebanon Beach in the town of Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon despite being a public beach is clean. My sister said they did not see lots of thrash but they did see dried seaweeds scattered everywhere which are fine because these are coming from nature.
The sand of Lebanon Beach is fine white sand. You can see in the photo that it is golden brown that time but my sister swears in other parts of Lebanon Beach in Prieto Diaz is white. The waves are quite strong but it's not too dangerous. There are rocky parts but other parts are not. She recommends bringing a good pair of footwear.
HOW TO GO TO LEBANON BEACH IN PRIETO DIAZ
Lebanon Beach is accessible via Gubat or Sawanga, Bacon. If you are coming from Sorsogon city, we recommend the way via Gubat.
Lebanon Beach in Prieto Diaz is divided into two entrances. Please choose the Lebanon Beach 1 if you don't want to rent cottages. There's a signboard so you won't miss it or ask the locals. Lebanon 2 if you want to pay for a rented cottage.
If you have a car, please be reminded that the crossing going to Prieto Diaz is near Saint Anthony/SLMCS school to the left side of the road before reaching Gubat.
HOW TO COMMUTE TO LEBANON BEACH IN PRIETO DIAZ, SORSOGON
From the jeepney terminal near SM Sorsogon, ride a jeep to Gubat. Then take another jeep to Prieto Diaz then tell the driver to drop you off to the town center. Ask the locals where to find tricycles that can bring you to Lebanon 1.

The town of Prieto Diaz in Sorsogon won the 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 (Champion), while the MARILAG (Malipot-Rawis-Lagbak) Fish Sanctuary and Marine Reserve and 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (Special Award) during the 2021 Para El Mar Marine Protected Area Awards and Recognition today. Aside from beautiful beaches, there are lots of mangrove trails worth visiting here as well.
