Looking for cheap accommodation in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon? This one is for you. My sister, my dog Ollie, my journalist friend and I had the opportunity to visit this coastal community in the province of Sorsogon. We started our journey from Irosin our hometown, leaving around 8AM and reaching past 9AM. We had a quick stop in Abuyog for breakfast before continuing our journey to Prieto Diaz. Meanwhile, my journalist friend came from Sorsogon City, leaving around 7AM and reaching Prieto Diaz past 8AM.
Upon arriving at the town center of Prieto Diaz, we took a 5-minute tricycle ride to reach SEAMANCOR Eco-developer's Inc. in Barangay Diamante, located beside Prieto Diaz Tourism Office. This location is a huge advantage for tourists and travelers who want to know island hopping packages, mangrove familiarization tour, white sandbar, blue lagoon, and more.
As remote workers, we always look for accommodations with Wi-Fi since we bring our laptops with us to work. It was a huge surprise to learn that there is an accommodation in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon that offers fast internet. This is in SEAMANCOR Eco-developer's Inc.
An accommodation with fast and steady WiFi is undoubtedly non-negotiable for us. This feature can attract digital nomads who are looking for freelancer-friendly accommodations in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon. Being full-time remote workers, we found SEAMANCOR in Prieto Diaz has fast and reliable Wi-Fi that can be rented out for a very affordable price per overnight stay. It is always challenging to find beach resorts in the province of Sorsogon with strong Wi-Fi honestly.
SEAMANCOR offers four rooms for rent that can fit 2-4 persons, with a fixed rate of Php 1,200, regardless of the number of people staying. It has two communal bathrooms without warm showers, but it is clean and wide enough. There are two separate sinks inside the hall as well. SEAMANCOR is not your typical affordable accommodation in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon. It is a community of locals that has been around for a few decades. It is not a house but a hall with rented rooms. Others refer to it as an events place in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.
Within the backyard of SEAMANCOR, there are ladies cleaning fresh danggit fish, which may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to the smell of fish getting butchered. The rooms inside SEAMANCOR hall are very near the main area with mini-stage where they hold events. This means, it is possible to hear noises and people not checked-in usually come over to inquire SEAMANCOR's services as well as buy dried danggit which is the current President's own business being operated in the same place.
SEAMANCOR do not have a restaurant but you can certainly ask them to cook seafood for you. Prieto Diaz is know for its danggit. We definitely ordered the fried danggit and of course the kinunot na danggit with malunggay! Super recommended to anyone who is curious of what to eat in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.
SEAMANCOR is pretty far from the town center of Prieto Diaz which is 5 minutes by tricycle. There are no nearby restaurants inside the barangay where SEAMANCOR is located so we highly suggest to ask the ladies who work in SEAMANCOR cook your meals for additional charge. You guys don't have to go out and waste time. They will literally serve your food in the communal table which is just a few steps away from your room
