From November 9 to 10, over 20,000 attendees experienced HUAWEI’s newest technology at the immersive “Pet Panda Wonderland.” The event showcased flagship devices like the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, HUAWEI WATCH D2, and HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2”.
BGC came alive with interactive installations, including stunning 3D Pet Panda displays designed to promote emotional well-being and inspire joy. Visitors engaged in hands-on experiences, exploring wellness-focused stations powered by HUAWEI’s latest tech innovations. The event’s highlight, HUAWEI’s playful Pet Panda, made appearances through the Emotional Wellbeing Assistant in the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, creating a memorable connection with guests.
Celebrating Health, Fitness, and Innovation
The “Tech with Love” event brought HUAWEI’s wellness technologies to the forefront. Filipino celebrities Sofia Andres and Jericho Rosales shared personal stories about their experiences with the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, emphasizing its impact on their active lifestyles. This smartwatch is designed to elevate fitness, offering HUAWEI’s TruSense System with advanced health tracking features that monitor heart rate, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate, giving users instant wellness insights.
The Emotional Wellbeing Assistant and Sleep Breathing Awareness features further enhance users’ wellness, helping them track emotional health and sleep quality. With HUAWEI’s Sunflower Positioning System, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Pro elevates fitness tracking accuracy, while the Golf Course and Freediving modes provide specialized training support. Users can also manage their health with Stay Fit calorie tracking and over 100 workout modes.
Revolutionary Wearable Payments and Health Monitoring
HUAWEI made headlines with its launch of WATCH Pay on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, WATCH Ultimate, and WATCH FIT 3, making it the first GCash-enabled smartwatch in the Philippines. This payment feature, rolling out to all HUAWEI smartwatches by November 15, enables users to send and receive money, buy load, and pay online directly from their watch.
For health-conscious users, HUAWEI showcased its first ABPM smartwatch, the WATCH D2, offering 24-hour blood pressure monitoring powered by the HUAWEI TruSense System. With a mechanical airbag sensor, the WATCH D2 delivers accurate vitals instantly, giving users an insightful health overview. Attendees tried the device at the “Every Heartbeat Makes TruSense” zone, generating a comprehensive Health Glance report with nine key indicators like ECG and vascular elasticity.
HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2”: Creativity on the Go
In addition to health devices, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” proved popular for on-the-go creativity. The tablet’s dual OLED PaperMatte display and PC-level performance support artistic projects, virtual meetings, and media viewing, making it ideal for work and leisure. Guests tested its capabilities at the “Go Paint Your Imagination” station, exploring digital painting and art tools on the GoPaint app.
HUAWEI also invited Filipino artists to participate in the global GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity 2024, themed “Creative by Nature.” Judged by notable artists, including “Avatar: Way of the Water” concept artist John Park and Forbes honoree Victo Ngai, the competition encourages entries in categories such as Sci-Fi Art and Digital Watercolor. Winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize and media exposure, with submissions open until December 31.
