A blogger friend who is temporarily out of Manila has asked me to be her official representative while she can't make it to her events. One brand that I had the honor of joining under her name is HONOR Philippines, a very promising mobile phone brand for a very affordable price. The first event I joined for HONOR was last year but I wasn't able to take photos during this time because I was just trying to absorb the vibe of this event. Now that I have an idea of it and comfortable hobnobbing with the community of HONOR Philippines, I feel it is time for me to share these two events that attended by yours truly. See below:
HONOR Philippines Breaks Guinness World of Records
On January 6, 2025, HONOR Philippines set a new Guinness World Record for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.” At the HONOR X9c Experiential Preview event in Manila, 264 participants simultaneously dropped the HONOR X9c 5G, showcasing its remarkable resilience. This feat surpassed previous records and highlighted the phone’s robust construction.
These 264 participants are composed of influencers, KOLS, bloggers, content creators and some from HONOR community through its Facebook group. We were given 1 HONOR X9C 5G unit to be returned after the event. The goal to achieve the Guiness world record is to drop this phone at arms length all together at the same time even up to picking the phone up after the countdown. Take note, there is one attempt given by Guinness! I also felt nervous because I do not want to be the only to cause the failed attempt. Luckily, we ALL did it! HONOR Philippines broke the record of the previous title holder from 250 to 261 of us doing it all together!
We dropped the phone about 5 times minimum as practice before the first and final attempt. I can say personal that HONOR X9C 5G is indeed tough! There were no signs even a bit of breakage I saw from the screen to the edges of the phone.
HONOR X9C 5G's Official Launching at Solaire North
Following the World Guinness title success of HONOR X9C 5G, it is now time to reveal the retail price of this most promising budget phone I tried myself. I attended the grand launch of the HONOR X9c 5G on January 10, 2025, at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City. The event was a testament to HONOR’s commitment to innovation and quality. The venue, known for its opulence and state-of-the-art facilities, provided the perfect backdrop for unveiling the company’s latest flagship device.
Pre-Order Details and Exclusive Offers
The HONOR X9c 5G is available for pre-order from January 10 to 24, 2025, at a retail price of ₱16,999. Customers who pre-order will receive an exclusive HONOR Travel Gift Package, which includes a handheld fan, a bag, and an umbrella. Additionally, pre-order customers stand a chance to win a Rolex watch worth ₱600,000. This promotion underscores HONOR’s dedication to providing added value to its customers.
Unparalleled Durability
The HONOR X9c 5G has undergone rigorous testing to earn its title as the toughest phone of the year. It boasts an all-angle triple defense feature with an SGS 5-Star rating for drop resistance, capable of withstanding drops from up to two meters. The device also features water resistance with an IP65M rating, allowing it to be submerged up to 25cm deep for a maximum of 5 minutes. Additionally, the phone can endure extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C, as demonstrated by tests involving boiling water and drops from significant heights, such as 500 feet from a helicopter.
Conclusion
The HONOR X9c 5G stands out in the crowded smartphone market with its unparalleled durability and innovative features. Its successful Guinness World Record attempt, grand launch event, and exclusive pre-order offers make it an ideal choice for users seeking a robust and reliable device.
The HONOR X9c 5G has made a significant impact in the smartphone market, earning the title of the “Toughest Phone of the Year.” This recognition stems from its exceptional durability and innovative features. Guinness World Record Achievement.
